Tennessee Friends
I love the New Year for the opportunity that it provides all of us to do three things..
- Count our blessings. I am truly thankful to God for another year of life and for the health and safety that he has provided for me and my family. I am thankful for my amazing wife, Amanda, and our three children and for their unconditional love. I’m grateful for success He has granted my pharmacy business over 2017, and for the new friends I’ve been able to make along the campaign trail.
- Learn from our mistakes – It is inevitable that all of us are going to face our share of obstacles and adversity in any given year. The question is not “did you face challenges” the question is what did you learn from those challenges and did you get bitter or better”.
- Plan for the future – I love the sparkle and hope that comes with a new year. It gives us the opportunity to step back and ask the question “What needs to happen in my life over the next 12 months for me to feel good about my success?”. I am a lifelong goal setter (Personal, professional, financial, physical, spiritual) and strongly believe in writing down goals and creating strategy to achieve those goals. Obviously one of my biggest short term goals in the next 90 days is to win the Republican primary on Jan 25th and the general election on March 13th and to become your senator in the 14th district. I wish that I could reach out and spend time with every voter in the district because I am convinced that I would earn your vote. In case I do not get to meet you in the next few weeks then please let this New Year’s email serve as me humbly and gratefully asking for your prayers, advice and vote in the next few weeks.
May God richly bless you, your families and our state in 2018
